I was more than impressed with how collected and secure Jill and Brett were on their wedding day. I mean, in general, brides and grooms tend to at least have one moment of stress or nervousness. These two thought through all aspects of their day, examining traditions for their significance and incorporating new ideas to really bring out who they are as a couple. For example, neither of them are terribly fond of cake, but they both love cheesecake. So – why not have cheesecake at the reception? And…I’m not sure there’s been such a beautiful day in February in all of Kansas history! You better believe we capitalized on that with some fun outdoor shots…
I had the privilege of working with Sarah Shah yet again. She has got to be one of the best children’s photographers I can think of, and that’s an area I’ll be the first to say I’m not that gifted in. So…to those of you at the wedding asking about children’s and maternity photography – check her out!

Okay – check out this backdrop for the details. It’s a scarf with one of their engagement photos! To say I loved it would be an understatement. Brett’s crafty aunt made not only the scarf for Jill as a shower gift but also the shirt she wore in the morning. On the back it reads, “Two-n2-One” with the wedding date under it. Way cool.

LOVE the first look.

The fabulous Jill…

And while I was working on this…

Sarah was busy crafting this great image!

This next one is another of Sarah’s. I love having a different perspective on the wedding!

Props, again to Sarah for this next image…

Congratulations, Jill and Brett! Have a fabulous time in Cozumel!
